What happened?
Went to the Minot Sleep Inn, asked the front desk where the “Executive Board Room” was. Nobody had a clue what I was talking about.
“About Us” page says every Thursday @ 7pm.
I was there. Was I the only one or what?
Anyone?
Hello?
Anybody home?
Hey skimask, sorry we missed you at last night’s meeting. The executive board room is right off of the the breakfast bar/room.
Hopefully we’ll see you there next week. We did some basics on game programming and we’re doing a followup next week.
I’ll also shoot you an email as well.
Todd
Although I don’t know why they didn’t know where the room was.
Aha! Ya see…
That’s what I get for not checking around for myself.
Apparently, if it’s not on the paper, they don’t know, ’cause as soon as I asked for the “Executive Board Room”, all 3 of the folks at the desk went for “the paper” that had the listing of all the meetings that night.
I’m not too much for game programming, but, barring anything weird, I’ll be there next week.
That sounds great, can’t wait to meet you.
Also I’m sure we’ll be kicking around some ideas for upcoming meetings as well, so if you have any ideas in that regards we’d love to hear them too.
At least I was able to find the place last night
Concerning the shop out at the house…

or “N48.151 W101.1542″ in the Google Maps search bar.
Street view of the house, the white one with the long driveway (picture is out of date, new blue siding, mailbox is moved to the end of the driveway, can’t really see the shop behind the house and thru the leaves on the trees, etc). Garage where I do the welding, metal cutting, basically the dirty work, is about 50ft to the SSW of the ‘shop’.
Unless something work related comes up, I’ll likely be able to make the 8th meeting and will bring some basic soldering equipment/stuff, chunks of wood/countertop for work surfaces, etc.
I’m still thinking on that whole “basic soldering bootstrap” thing…what to include, fluff to leave out, break it down to the bare basics…
